As far as we know, ClanDonnell is not required reading at any college or university. (Too bad, since the mercenary side of us would love to have poor students required to buy the book.) But this has stopped cheapesttextbooks.com from offering ClanDonnell on its website. Maybe professors will take the hint.

We don’t know if we liked being listed as a discount book, but no one asked us. ClanDonnell was listed on All Discount Books, but is no longer. That’s a good thing.

The No-Inventory Internet BookStores

We don’t know how we got on all these sites, since we never sent them any books. But somehow we are listed on all kinds of internet book sale sites.

We don’t if any of these sites have any book at all in inventory. We guess they employ some sort of sweep function and grab book listings from other sites. Some of them do a bit of price comparisons so that, supposedly, they’ll find you the best price. Then you can add the book to your “cart” and buy the book.

At that point, we suspect, they’ll contact us to ship a book.

In the meantime, shop away. As one example, bookprice.com lists ClanDonnell.

Only 2,025 Rands to buy ClanDonnell in South Africa. Our publisher is not sure how they found us (although we suspect the internet was involved), but a South African website has ClanDonnell listed for sale. If you don’t have any Rands, you can buy the book with 11,730 Discovery miles. Sounds like a great deal! Order online at wantitall.co.za.

ClanDonnell is available in India, sort of. We weren’t looking, but found listed anyway at Amazon India. The book shows up on a search, but as “currently unavailable”. Of course there is a reason why it is unavailable – no one at Amazon India or, for that matter, anyone in India, has asked us for a copy. If you live in India, or anywhere else on the planet, all you have to do is ask!

Valore Books is yet another textbook site which, to our surprise, carries used copies of ClanDonnell.

Valore also rents textbooks, and I have to wonder what the going rental rate is.
