Of Course, But Don’t Use Amazon
You may have noticed the use of the word “one” in this page title. I don’t usually do this. “One” is an acceptable pronoun but used far more often in Britain than in America. It has a more pretentious sound to Americans.
“One” and “you” are both indefinite, impersonal and generic pronouns. And by generic, one means that the pronoun is gender neutral and may mean singular or plural. (Did you notice that I used “one” again in the prior sentence.) You may wish to use “one” in such a fashion, or one may wish to use “you”.
But I digress.
Many online sources list our books in inventory. The easiest way is by use of this website.
But we fully support efforts by others to market and sell the books. We searched the internet a few years back for some online sources and wrote about them in our Wee Blog. Our findings were reported in Some Odd ClanDonnell Sites, which found ClanDonnell on text book and on discount book sites, as well as in South Africa and India. Many brick and mortar shops also offer books online as well.
Both ClanDonnell: A Storied History of Ireland and Buy The Horse A Guinness are available on Amazon, but we recommend you use other online retailers. Amazon has surpassed Halliburton as the devil’s corporation.
I (and others) have a lot of complaints about Amazon. Jeff Bezos is the richest man on the planet because Amazon doesn’t pay his workers and imposes despicable working conditions, extorts tax breaks from governmental entities who are prostrate to his demands, and screws all Amazon vendors (including authors). Bezos has so much money, he’s launched his own space program for extraterrestrial colonization.
Someday I’ll tell you how I really think. But in the meantime, use other online vendors.
ClanDonnell is in First Chapter Plus, an e-catalog connecting readers to books. But its audience includes libraries, independent bookstores, bloggers and reviewers.
Of course, both books are available on eBay, both new and used. We found that books listed in both the United States and Canada and, believe it or not, Malaysia. Buy The Horse A Guinness is distributed by Ingram Content Group, and it has listed the book a variety of places.
We also updated our internet search of both ClanDonnell: A Storied History of Ireland and Buy The Horse A Guinness. We found a number of listings, none of which were made my us. Here is what we found:
ClanDonnell is available on Abe Books and Google Books.
It is also available in the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Canada, United Arab Emirates, Japan, Italy, and another Italy (some of these, perhaps ironically, on Amazon).
Buy The Horse A Guinness is available at Barnes & Noble, Target, GoodReads, and Book Depository (which one hopes is not in Dallas).
And, via Amazon and elsewhere, Mexico, Singapore, Australia, and Canada.
Happy surfing!
