Dayton, Ohio
We were at the Dayton Celtic Festival July 26th through 29th, 2019!
We had not been to the Dayton festival before, but we heard some wonderful things about it. Number one, admission is free! There is no excuse for not being there.
The festival was at RiverScape MetroPark in downtown Dayton, along the Great Miami River. The festival had 90,000 visitors last year.
We did a talk entitled The Irish War of Independence and the Ordinary Irish on Saturday and An Hour of Irish Storytelling on Sunday, both in the Cultural Tent. Both audiences were engaged and intrigued, and ClanDonnell enjoyed every minute!
We had three great days in Dayton, despite the blistering heat. It was 90°F plus all three days, and never let up. Music was great, crowds were engaged, and fun was had by all!
