We returned to Muskegon for the Michigan Irish Music Festival. Our first engagement there since the pandemic.
Great bands, brilliant volunteers, new and old friends. A can’t miss event.
We did a set on Saturday on the Irish in the American Civil War. I told a story or two about the 14th Michigan Infantry, Irish-born Medal of Honor winner Patrick Irwin, and the legendary Bridgett Deaver (sometimes called the “Michigan Biddy”).
Did another set on Sunday on “Irish Legends”. Told one tale from the Fenian Cycle of Finn McCool. With some time left over, I told the short “Magical Stone Soup” story.
