Nevada’s Best Winery

We hung out at the Nevada Sunset Winery in Reno for two nights, while at the Northern Nevada Celtic Festival. Our hosts, Mike and Alynn were wonderful, and so was the wine.

I took to their reds – the Pinot Noir, red blend (Bordeaux style), and Cabernet Sauvignon. Linda took to the unoaked Chardonnay.

I always had the impression that Nevada was an “anything goes” kind of state. But wineries such as this one were prohibited until just a few years ago. Lawmakers evidently woke up.
