ClanDonnell A Finalist
ClanDonnell is a Finalist in the 2014 New Generation Indie Book Awards, in the Historical Non-fiction category.
The awards are issued by the Independent Book Publishing Professionals Group (IBPPG), the gurus of the independent publishing business. The awards are given to the “most exceptional” independently published books.
They must know what they are doing, since they thought ClanDonnell was worth honoring.
The awards are called the Next Generation Indie Book Awards. I’m exceptionally honored for the award, but I’m a bit embarrassed over the Next Generation part. Folks in the generation older than me are dying off quite rapidly, and I’m afraid my generation will soon become the oldest extant. I would have thought the ‘next generation’ would be the folks much younger than I.
IBPPG presented their annual book awards this week at Book Expo in New York City. Winners and finalists (or at least those who were present) received their awards at a special ceremony at the Harvard Club.
I wish I was there. Instead, I received my award electronically. Somehow it’s not the same.
