We were at Finn McCool’s in Newark, Delaware for one of our gigs around the Chesapeake Bay Watershed.
Some fire fighters from Washington, D.C. were in Newark as well for a funeral service. The firemen are part of the DCFD Emerald Society Pipes and Drums. The group is featured in a news report is featured in a YouTube video.
A New York City firefighter, who was also in the Marine Corps reserve and an alumnus of the University of Delaware, was recently killed in Afghanistan. He was buried in Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. Services were also held in New York and in Newark, Delaware. The firefighters were in Delaware for this service.
But with the funeral service over, the fire fighters headed to Finn McCool’s and partied until the wee hours. They were joined, of course, by Clan Donnell.
