Used for Two Weddings
This morning I re-read our wedding vows, which I wrote many, many years ago. I hadn’t read these in years, and I had forgotten that I was more poetic as a young man.
As my daughter prepares for her wedding, my only hope is that her marriage lasts as long, and as happy, as mine.
OUR VOWS
I call upon our friends here present
To witness my declaration of love for you.
I vow before God to be your loving and faithful husband (wife)
To share with you whatever I have
To care for you whenever you are in need.
I promise to forever cherish your love
So that our marriage will forever serve God.

P.S. I pulled these vows out of my archives at my daughter’s request. It turns out, she and her groom used them as their wedding vows.
