Milwaukee Irish Festival 2014

The Red Hot Chilli Pipers filmed the “Live at the Lake” DVD in Milwaukee. The band put on an amazing performance!

It is the 1,000 year anniversary of the Battle of Clontarf, a battle fought in 1014 in which Ireland’s King Brian Boru was killed. Brian’s story is one of many in ClanDonnell: A Storied History of Ireland.

Brian’s death at Clontarf didn’t prevent him from being in Milwaukee. He was there, sitting on a throne, and entertaining children. I met him – quite an amazing guy considering he’s been dead so long.
