Dublin, Ohio

We wereat the Dublin Irish Festival, August 4^th, 5^th, and 6^th.  The festival was again at Dublin, Ohio’s gorgeous Coffman Park.

We spoke about Irish Americans in the Civil War. I focused on the Irish vs. Irish in several battles, including the 6^th Louisiana (Irish in New Orleans) and 13^th Massachusetts (Irish in Boston) in the Cornfield of Antietam, Maryland; the New York, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania regiments and the 24^th Georgia (Irish from Savannah) at Marye’s Heights in Fredericksburg, Virginia; and the 10^th Ohio (Irish from Cincinnati) and 5^th Tennessee (Irish from Memphis) at the battle in Perrysville, Kentucky.
