Ancient Order of Hibernians

Traverse City, Michigan 2015

It’s a great group of men, devoted to having fun and raising money for Christian charities. What can be better than that?

The February meeting of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Bun Brady Division, focused on the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade in Traverse City. This year’s parade will start and finish at the State Street Bar & Grill, which will also host the pre- and post- parade party.

To prove that the Hibernians don’t always know what they are doing, they named David McDonnell as Grand Marshall of this year’s parade.

What could they have been thinking?

To return the honor, we contributed $10 to AOH’s favorite charity, the Father Fred Foundation, for every copy of ClanDonnell at the meeting and at the St. Patrick;s Day parade celebration. We also told a wee story at the meeting

There couldn’t be a better charity. For over 25 years, the Father Fred Foundation has provided food, clothing, household goods, and financial assistance to those in need in the five county area of Grand Traverse Bay.
