Gypsyfire & Wolf Rescue

Farmington, New Mexico

We’ve spent a small fortune during our book tours on hotel accommodations. Not so for the Aztec Celtic Festival in New Mexico.

We stayed at the home of Charles Stacey and Cynthia Widdon Green in Farmington, New Mexico. They are, among many other things, two-thirds of the band Gypsyfire.

Hyatt? Motel 6? Days Inn? Holiday Inn? The Ritz?

I’d chose Gypsyfire any time!

Gypsyfire collaborated with other area musicians to raise money for the Wolfwood Refuge near Ignacio, Colorado. The group collected eleven songs and recorded the CD Wolf Song for sale on its website. All funds will be used for the refuge.

It wasn’t long before music from the CD was loaded on to the ClanDonnell iPod.

Coincidentally, we also met Stefanie Kaylan, the founder of Wanagi Wolf Fund & Rescue at the Irish American Society of New Mexico before we went to Aztec. That’s Bindi, one of her rescues, at the top of the page.
