As we approached the 100th anniversary of the Easter Rising, I thought it might be appropriate to put together my take on the week-long Rising. So I prepared a talk, which is in the pdf link below.

It turned out I was correct. Every festival I went to in 2016 wanted me to do the Easter Rising talk.

The photograph at the top is of the Metropole Hotel in Dublin, in ruins after the Rising. Below is the Cumann na mBan marching in Dublin before the Rising. The bottom is the General Post Office building in Dublin, taken in 1917 with the tri-color flag hoisted.
