Toledo, Ohio
It was be Friday August 8th and Saturday August 9th, 2014. We swung by on our way home from Iowa, and before we go to Milwaukee.
The festival was downtown Toledo at Promenade Park – 4:00 pm to midnight on Friday and noon to midnight on Saturday. The festival was sponsored by the Ancient Order of Hibernians.
We told stories on the one and only stage, in between the bands setting up and tearing down.
We had a great time in Toledo with the Irish and the Hibernians. The weather was gorgeous and the site just as beautiful. The festival was in Promenade Park in downtown Toledo along the Maumee River.
The city survived a ban on its drinking water a week ago. Toledo proved resilient once again and the folks at the festival took the water issue with good humor.
